What We Do
OrphanAidMalawi will assist in pump-priming the transition from aid to trade for Malawians by helping them to survive, learn and earn.
We will work with anyone who can help – volunteers, existing table-top charities, hospitals, schools and businesses.
We will be a link between training and qualified clinicians who are able to donate time in clinics and hospitals in Malawi – please see more under Survive – Medics for Malawi
We will sponsor AIDS orphans in boarding secondary schools throughout Malawi – children who could not get to secondary school otherwise.
We will work to promote and encourage trade and industry and job creation within Malawi – promoting exports, agriculture, tourism and commerce.
This means OrphanAidMalawi funds will only buy from the local economy, as opposed to exporting (dumping) donations of unwanted or externally produced goods into Malawi which can make life very difficult and sometimes kill off local businesses.
